I see that Deb and I are both eager to start the scavenger hunt!
I was downtown today and had some time to wait, so I pulled out my sketchbook and scavenger list and decided to go for the fountain. As a retired teacher, it seemed appropriate to sketch the Teachers' Fountain in Director Square. I don't know that I've ever actually seen any teachers in the fountain.
The sun came out and I got a quick glance at some shadows before leaving. I added the color at home.
I have to get on it! I always want to sketch here but end up just staring at the fountain and the people and end up doing nothing.
ReplyDeleteFabulous. I think I might well have to break out my watercolors for the fountain prompt, jets of water seem like a tricky thing to do justice to in black & white... Really like how these turned out, glad the sun ultimately deigned to give you a nice shadow underneath the sphere to work with!
ReplyDeleteThese are so cool! Love the delicate color and suggestion of water spray.
