Went to a really great figure demonstration at OSA today with Craig
Srebnik. He paints in oil but his approach is so universal to any
opaque media. Afterwards headed over to the Leaky Roof on SW 17th and
Jefferson for Lunch and libations to fulfill yet another scavenger hunt
item...... A Beer! A Mirror Pond, to be more specific. We
sketched away taking full advantage of our model, Loretta! What a
trooper she is. :) !! It's going to be a warm sunny weekend so I ought
to knock a few more off the scavenger list; stay tuned.
I am totally charmed by this sketch. I love the fluidity of the linework, how it catches the gestures and mood so directly. And heck, if you're going to sketch beer, of course you'd want to sketch beer-with-a-friend!
