Brooklyn Neighborhood Sketchcrawl

Here are my contributions from the Brooklyn Neighborhood Sketchcrawl. While most of the group sketched the storefronts on SE Milwaukie, I was attracted to this bit of blight in the other direction.

We met for lunch at the Twilight Lounge and I immortalized Kalina and Anthony in my moleskine.

  1. Nice work, Bill. I like how the colors of the building carry over into the pavement. The wires add a lot too. I am glad you could join us for the crawl!

  2. You captured my frenetic state of mind that day. I am not so sure about Anthony's state of mind.

I dig the building & camper.

  3. Bill, somehow you even manage to make "blight" look so good! The car, the camper, and the puddles all add to give it such a sense of time and place.

  4. Thanks, everyone. It was fun to see everyone and explore a new part of Portland.

Kalina, you always seem cool, calm and collected to me.
