Join us for the next SE Sketch on Oct 12 from 5 to 6:30 pm at the 1847 Food Carts in Milwaukie. We'll enjoy the glorious fall weather in a lovely setting with food carts, lots of seating, a firepit, and a three story tap room. The location is easily accessible via bike on the path heading south from Sellwood. A bus stops nearby about two blocks away. The address is 1925 SE Scott Street. See you there.

There are restrooms at Floyd's, and at New Seasons, at 20th and Division.
Note that there's a distinct lack of outdoor seating. If you're not into standing, you might want to bring a stool. Also, there's not much in the way of rain shelter. We're going to try it anyway, hoping that the autumn rains hold off a bit longer, but keep that in mind.

ART BOAT! Ten adventurous sailors set forth on the Willamette in an electric boat from Portland Electric Boat Company to sketch from the river. We had a great time & hope to do it again soon. If you want to join us in our seafaring (well, riverfaring) adventures, stay tuned!
We had good weather (OK, it could have been a touch warmer) and a fine bunch of sketchers turned out, including a fair scattering of new people. It was great sketching with you all, and seeing what everyone did.

The #4 bus runs along Mississippi. In a pinch, you can also take the Yellow MAX to Overlook and cross over I5 on the Failing St pedestrian bridge.
There are coffee shops all up and down the street, with, presumably, restrooms. There's also a public restroom at the nearby food cart pod, at Mississippi and Skidmore.
Join us for the next SE Sketch on Sept 14 from 5-7 pm at the Hawthorne Asylum Food Cart Pod on 10th Ave and Madison. The Asylum is a very lively spot with lots of food trucks, interesting objects to draw, tons of seating, and plenty of opportunities to practice drawing people. There's bike parking at the pod and a bus stop one block away at 12th and Madison. See you there.
We decided to still have the September drink and draw in NW, but slipped it a day, to avoid Labor Day.
