Just thought I'd catch up with posting sketches from our Nov 12th sketch day. A pretty cool and damp day but a good gathering of sketchers.

I was trying out some old fountain pens (the kind with a lever at the side to fill the ink reservoir) that a friend gave me recently.

I liked the wider line in this pen but it may take some adjustment to get used to the flow.
Deb, I'm glad you drew the Avalon and the firehouse, because they are such interesting buildings. I know it was a pretty drizzly day, but I don't even see the water marks on your sketches. Interesting combination of inks in the top one. I'm going to want to see your pens next time, but I think you could turn out a terrific drawing with a stick and bit of ink.ReplyDelete
Thanks Vicky..as usual you see the positive in our postings. It was fun to run into you and the rest of the gang at Linda's yesterday....hope to see you soon again at some other sketch outing.ReplyDelete
