Lets go back to the Hawthorne Asylum food cart pod, which we haven't visited since before the pandemic. There will be food carts and tables and (probably) people inside the compound, and interesting architecture outside of it.
Parking might be tight. Stops for the 10. 14 and 70 are quite close, and the A and B streetcars aren't too far away.
The pod now has 'New and Improved' restrooms. Some of the food trucks are open at 10am, but none of them seem to serve coffee. But there are several coffee shops in the neighborhood for your caffeine needs.
- 10:00am - Meet at an unoccupied table inside the pod, at 1080 SE Madison
- noon - Meet again, possibly at the same place, for an optional sketchbook throwdown
- after that, those of us who wish can stick around for lunch on the site
