I like this technique of markers on the toned paper, very bold and powerful look. And the story you captured here is a key facet of urban life that is so often overlooked...Well done.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Katura. I've always admired those of you who tell stories with your drawings. Those urban stories are everywhere and I want to focus on them more often.
ReplyDeleteYour lampposts are wonderful with that highlight of white. I applaud you...as they are my particular nemesis. Anyway fantastic commentary on Powells' culture.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Deb. I know what you mean about the lampposts. I've drawn Portland's lampposts so many times and they always come out kind of wonky.
ReplyDeleteVery nice details, VIcky. I agree about the lamp posts. Those are hard to draw convincingly. I also like the white marker on toned paper. Is that the white Pitt Pen?
