Well, really liked being up there, so many interesting things to sketch. Could spend days!! People with kids were not talking about the meaning of this statue but were talking about a part rabbit and part human.
Wow, I didn't even spot this statue. Love how you've gotten the lovely contrast of green and red, and how you've gotten that wacky geometric background to harmonize so smoothly with the sympathetic curves of the statue. Nice work. (And glad you had a good time!)
Other sketchers at lunch commented about the diverse public art up on the hill....this one is really intriguing and I like how you have centered it in the composition to highlight its importance.

ReplyDeletemy scanning slightly skewed this' its really pretty level - the buildings in the back and whatnot....
ReplyDeleteThis is where I probably would have drawn, too, Sidne. There are some interesting sculptures there. I like how you've placed this one in its setting.
