Salmon Springs Sketchcrawl

We had a chilly morning sketching at Salmon Springs yesterday. Some sketchers left earlier, but this was our remaining group by noon. It was fun to have two new sketchers show up yesterday in addition to the always welcome familiar faces.

Here are the group sketches, including Carrie's watercolor in progress...

 and here are mine...

A few of us stayed and had a picnic lunch and eventually we were down to two. This was my last sketch, when some intrepid children were beginning to go in the water.

It was fun getting together with the Portland sketchers. Many of us are already looking forward to the next sketchcrawl.

  1. Am definitely envious of that 'chilly morning'. I continue to be in the European heat wave! Nice to see some familiar faces in your photo. And do I see a little Barcelona technique in those drawings? My fave is the final one...buildings and great water!

  2. Yes, Deb, it was pretty odd putting on a jacket and scarf yesterday. I'm glad you could see a little Barcelona technique:)
    How's the sketching in Majorca?

  3. Not sure I improved from Barcelona. I am all over the place as you will see when I return.

  4. Thanks for the great post, Vicky! All your sketches are wonderful but the last is my favorite too because it has so much movement and liveliness in it. Good to see you at the crawl and I hope to hear more about the symposium!
