Name change

I got married this month and along with marriage, I decide to take my husband's last name. The consequence of that decision is the need to change my name on everything. The first step, once a copy of the marriage license is in hand, is to change your name on your social security record. I sketched while I waited briefly.

  1. A name change...unless you have gone through it I imagine you can't really understand its complexity.
    Congratulations on starting the process.

  2. This will be a great memoir of the process. I did it 34 years ago, and it wasn't that hard...at least back then. The hardest part was remembering to sign my new name!

  4. The hardest thing seems to be making time, remembering all the things needed (like, I forgot my passport when going to the DMV this morning, so I had to run home and get it.) Luckily the wait wasn't too long...which means I didn't get much sketching in. rats!
