A goodly group, with some new faces and a couple of visitors. Sunny, but not too hot.

September 16 Sketchcrawl - N. Mississippi
| Sketch by Amy Stewart |
Some of us have fond memories of sketching the Mississippi Street Fair with Rita Sabler in 2017, but we haven't been back to Mississippi in quite a while. So let's meet at Broder Nord for coffee and introductions, and return to the little courtyard area there for a throw-down. (The throw-down is purely optional, but always interesting. And you'll find that the experienced sketchers are always kind to the new ones.) Then, for those who would like, lunch and sketchbook sharing at the Mississippi food carts.
- 10 AM: Coffee and introductions at Broder Nord
- Noon: Throwdown at courtyard next to Broder Nord (in front of The Meadow)
- 12:30-ish: Option lunch at the food carts at Mississippi and Skidmore
Hope to see you there!

Jamison Square
The weather was a bit cooler than earlier in the week, and downright pleasant. We had a good crowd come out to sketch.

August 19 Sketchcrawl - Jamison Square

Let's go to Jamison Square this time. There aren't any big hulking trees there, but there are enough smaller ones to provide shade. And buildings and art and people, and likely kids playing in the fountain.

For coffee and food, Lovejoy Bakers is a block away, at Lovejoy and 10th, with loads of other coffee shops and restaurants in the surrounding blocks.
All streetcars stop at the park, with the 17, the 77 and the north end of the bus mall just a few blocks away.
- 10am: Meet at the north edge of the park, where Kearney would be if the street went through.
- 10:30-ish: sketch
- Meet again, probably back at the meeting place, for an optional throw-down.

This sketchcrawl will be delayed one week from our usual day and be on July 22nd.
It's looking like July might be a hot one. So let's meet at Laurelhurst Park, where big trees will provide shade if we want it.
There's a variety of things to sketch there (people, dogs, ducks, trees, lake, pickle ball, little skate park, basketball) and a restroom, with a coffee shop (Oblique Coffee Roasters) a few blocks away, at SE Stark and 30th Pl.
- 10 am: Meet on the patio between the restrooms and the lake
- 10:30-ish: sketch
- Noon: Meet again at the patio, or picnic tables, for an optional sketchbook throwdown.
- 12:30-ish: Optional picnic lunch and sketchbook sharing.
The 75 and 20 buses have stops quite near the park, and the 15 isn't too far away.

Peninsula Park
It was great to see so many people turn out on a cold, gray day. But the roses were spectacular, which made up for a lot.
